Sussex Police tipped to axe over 1,000 jobs

It has been announced that Sussex Police have planned to axe as many as 1,050 police staff during the next five years in light of harsh government spending cuts.
Martin Richards, the Chief Constable for Sussex Police said that this was an unavoidable decision as budget cuts were estimated to reach £52 million by the year 2015.
