Are Police Cuts Really Necessary

Despite the fact that both leading political formations in the UK - the Tories and the Labours, seem to be quite inadequate in their proposals for coping with the British economic problems, the latter expressed a genuine and quite reasonable concern about whether the enactment of the police cuts by the Tory government should continue. The concern is mainly related with the unavailability of police force in the UK which became quite clear after the riots in London, Manchester and Birmingham. The public was afforded no protection against the rioters and this is the reason why many people were devastated having their businesses crashed and their homes burnt by violent criminals marching freely around London.
If completely enacted, the police cuts would reduce the number of officers in the UK. They would also decrease the availability of policing equipment, would reduce the operating budget of the police boroughs and would probably affect the preservation of peace initiatives inside the country. The deficiency of funds would also equalize the number of officers in specific areas - this is completely wrong as areas such as the violent Tottenham need more policing than the peaceful Uxbridge areas. Police might even need some advanced Octopus HR software to coordinate its officers simply because the need for policing would increase.
Despite these concerns, Mr Cameron and his deputy prime minister Clegg are refusing to accept removal of the police cuts scheme. rather than redirecting the cuts in a more favorable area that needs less current attention, the leaders of the UK would go ahead with the propsed money saving measures. Hopefully, this would expose the country to further violence and police inability to cope with it.
